Most metal bats come with tapers under the grip and can be destroyed when the original grip tape is removed. Lizard Skins Bat Tapers can replace an old taper or be placed onto a metal/ composite bat without a taper. Lizard Skins Tapers are available in two styles: Standard or Flared. The Standard taper offers a modest taper, while the Flared taper offers a more aggressive taper that imitates the feel of a wood bat. Both tapers cover the full width of the bottom hand and include double sided adhesive tape to eliminate slipping under the grip.
